The Mego Store

Imagine, if you will, an online store that sells nothing but merchandise associated with Mego action figures from the 1970's. Well, you don't have to imagine it, because it's here! In addition to Mego and Mego knockoff figures, the site offers a screen saver, videos, t-shirts, hats, and more. Spud

The old world meets the new with the Spud website, which is run entirely on the electricity garnered from a single, small garden potato. The website, however, much like the potato itself, isn't much to look at. Slugging

No, this isn't a tribute page to the sweet science of boxing. Slugging is, in fact, a creative euphemism for hitchhiking in the Washington, DC area. The thing is, though, it isn't exactly hitchhiking, per se - Slugging is a very organized system with its own set of rules, proper etiquette, and specific pickup and drop-off locations, all coordinated through total strangers. The website gives tips and hints to using the system, as well as maps, a message board, and even a history of Slugging. Sluggers unite!
