Carl Buddig

Who doesn't remember their mother using packaged Carl Buddig beef slices to make chipped beef over biscuits for countless childhood meals? Well, at least I do, and I love Carl Buddig beef, and eat it to this very day. And that's why this website is so exciting. You can read all sorts of fascinating facts about the Carl Buddig lines of meat (Did you know there were ten delicious, thinly-sliced flavors, that each slice has only ten calories, and that only all-natural spices are use?) and even view - and submit your own - recipes. Best of all, you can order a FREE (with five proofs of purchase) 24-page Buddig Family Favorites Cookbook. Carl Buddig Beef - it's what's cooking.

Alis Weird Candy

A combination of diaries, weird news from around the world, and t-shirt sales, this site seems to offer a little of everything: pithy introductions to odd links; various information about many things; and an opinion about lots of things. I cant quite put my finger on a description of this site but Im sure youll find something to interest you here in all the weirdness.

Slugging

No, this isn't a tribute page to the sweet science of boxing. Slugging is, in fact, a creative euphemism for hitchhiking in the Washington, DC area. The thing is, though, it isn't exactly hitchhiking, per se - Slugging is a very organized system with its own set of rules, proper etiquette, and specific pickup and drop-off locations, all coordinated through total strangers. The website gives tips and hints to using the system, as well as maps, a message board, and even a history of Slugging. Sluggers unite!
